It’s time for the last challenge in the 2019 Maker Finish-Along! I can’t believe it’s the last one! In November we worked on making a crafty friend. I opened up a Maker Swap in the Facebook group to help with that. As usual, we picked another UFO to focus on to help move them on out of our space. For December our challenge is to enjoy the season. From now until the end of the year, many people are running around trying to finish things up for this celebration & that celebration. This can be overwhelming & we can forget to just enjoy the season & the reasons we are celebrating
By the way, a UFO is an “UnFinished Object”, in case y’all didn’t know. It’s usually used by quilters or crocheters or knitters, but it applies to projects of all kinds. Since this is a Maker Finish-Along, it’s open to makers of all kinds. No matter what fuels your maker mojo, you can join in the fun!

You’ll also find a printable schedule & UFO list in the Facebook group.
Enjoy the Season
For me, the days between Halloween & New Year’s Day seem to go by in a blur most years. There’s so much going on & so many celebrations to participate in, things can get a bit chaotic. It can make the whole season be very stressful!
This bit just before Thanksgiving up until the end of the year can be especially challenging. I have dinners & celebrations with two family groups, crafty swaps, bags for the shop, & blog hops happening. As much fun as this all can be, it can also get a bit rushed & less enjoyable.
I’ve spent many years trying to finish up that one last gift, staying up late, getting little sleep, & eating sparingly. Who has time to eat? I’m making! It can make the day of the celebration less enjoyable for me & others. Grumpy pants are not the best choice of wardrobe in social situations!
December’s Maker Challenge
For December, let’s just focus on enjoying the season! No matter what you celebrate, take time to enjoy what you love most about the season. Pause, take a breath, commit it to memory. Soak in the joy, love, & giving that can usually be found in abundance this time of the year. Tuck it in your pocket for a rainy day. : )
That is the final challenge for the 2019 Maker Finish-Along! I have really enjoyed doing this & seeing everyone’s makes in the Facebook group. It has been such a joy for me! Although, I’ll admit, I’ve been the worst participant in my own challenge, ha ha!
Next year, I’ll be hosting a Maker Stash Down in the Facebook group & here on the blog. It will be a little different than this year’s challenge, but hopefully still fun for the group. Look for more details about that towards the end of December.
Don’t forget to share your makes in the Teadoddles Makers Facebook group! Then you’ll have a chance to win the $20 Amazon gift card I give out each month. You can also use #tmfal2019 on Instagram if you prefer sharing there. Hope y’all have a great week filled with making!
