It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for some more DIY goodness! Today I’m showing you another repurpose of my old jewelry box parts. I decided to turn this part into an office organizer with a bonus planter top. Now I’ll have some greenery to liven up my office/entry. Yeah, my “office” is in my front door entry area! DIY
I love taking something that seemed useless and turning it into something fabulous! DIY helps fill my need to create. When I go to thrift stores and yard sales, I get an excited tingle all the way to my toes! You never know what you might find and the possibilities are endless. Every time I go to throw something away or put it in the donation pile, I think about what else I may be able to do with it. I also like to be able to do as much household maintenance myself as possible. Like the time I changed out our kitchen sink trap! It was disgusting, but I felt so accomplished knowing I did it myself. You never know what you might find here, so keep looking!

Using Recycled Jars for a Spring Mantel
I wasn’t sure this post was going to happen today! The weather has been crazy today in my area. I spent an hour huddled in the bathroom with my son & dogs because of tornado warnings. It has passed over, for now, & everyone’s safe. Some bloggers have posts ready well in advance, but I […] Read more…
Using Recycled Materials for Art Projects
Just about anyone that’s gone to grade school has used recycled materials for art projects. I remember having to save milk jugs & empty cans to take to school many times for one thing or another. Those were some of my favorite things to do! Taking an object meant for the trash and turning it […] Read more…
How to Make Old Prints & Junk Mail into Handmade Paper
Way back in October of last year I posted about some thrift store finds during one of my thrifty Saturdays. Among those finds were two old window screens I found for 50 cents. I told y’all in that post I bought them to use for making handmade paper. I also said a tutorial would be […] Read more…
