I thought I’d share some handmade gift ideas this week, starting with scarves & cowls. I’ll do something different about once a week until the week before Christmas. It may not always be on a Wednesday, so you’ll just have to keep a lookout for them! : D

Scarves & Cowls

The first year I had a blog, I did a series of blog posts that revolved around the Handmade Holidays series over on Sew Mama Sew. They skipped last year, but they are doing one this year. The first one I noticed was Handmade Holidays: Gifts for Girlfriends. On the list was this No-Sew Blanket Scarf, which I love! This made me think about all the posts I’ve done about scarves & cowls over the years. So, here’s a round up of them all in one place! : )

Migrating Stitches Super Scarf

This was the 2nd crochet pattern I published on the blog way back in October 2016! It’s very simple to make & makes a big impact as a gift. You can find the pattern right here.

Migrating Stitches Super Scarf - Crochet Pattern

This calls for #6 bulky yarn, so it works up in no time!

Double Sided Twisted Cowl

I made several of these for Christmas gifts in 2016 & they were a big hit! Another easy make & it’s really fun to mix & match fabrics for these.

Check out this post for all the details. : )

Long Tailed Scarf Top

Okay, this is not a post about making a scarf, but about using a scarf to make a top! This is so easy to do even a beginner sewist could stitch it up in no time.

You can find out how I made it in this post.

Fabric Scrap Wrap

Now we’ve moved on to makes from this year! If you’re a saver of fabric scraps like I am, this is the perfect gift idea for you. It only requires some sheer fabric & a few of your favorite scraps.

You could really make this personal by picking out scraps in the recipients favorite color.

Crocheted Pixel & Lace Heart Scarf

I’m loving this scarf & I bet someone would love to receive it as a gift. It’s so snuggly & soft! The pattern is easy to customize by changing the yarns & colors.

This was a two part post & I did some tutorial videos for it as well. Find all the instructions in the links below.

Bumps & Scales Cowl Crochet Pattern

My latest pattern was just released last month. It only took me a day to crochet it up, so it should be easy to make several of these before Christmas. I’m looking forward to wearing it this weekend since the temperature will be just right for that! : )

I hope y’all enjoyed this little roundup! Have a great week! : )
