Welcome to the Maker Stash-Down 2025! Do you like to make? Do you have an awesome maker “collection”? This could be the challenge for you! The aim is to use all those wonderful maker supplies to actually make things. Read on to find out all the details!

I’ll say this is my 4th year doing the stash-down since last year didn’t go so well! Hopefully things go better this year and we all get lots of making done. These are past stash-downs if you want to take a look:

This year will be fairly similar, but blog posts will be a little different. The blog post will have pictures and links for all the projects I’m working on. I’ll be talking more in depth about everything each month in a video, which will be linked below. Here’s a breakdown of how you can participate in the challenge:

  • I’ll be posting monthly blog posts & videos with my goals for the month and finishes from the previous month. You can share your goals and finishes in the Teadoddles Makers Facebook group.
  • Share your goals and finishes each month to be put in a drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card. This will be a random draw from the people that participate. You’ll find more information about this in the Facebook group. It’s a wonderful place to meet makers!
  • Since this is a Maker Stash-Down all crafts are included! If you made it, it counts. If you have questions about posting something, just let me know.

So, that’s basically what’s happening each month. Pretty awesome, right? I’m so excited to see everyone’s goals and makes! All of my goals, pics of projects, and links are in the blog post. Check out this video to hear more about my goals this month.

December

I started out with great intentions this past year. Life had other plans and things kind of went out the window with my making for a little while. I had unexpected learning to do and some health problems that through me off track for a little bit. You’ll hear a little more about that in the video. I truly felt like I was coming back up for air about the middle of December and that I needed to make all the things. I feel a rejuvenation of my maker mojo and I hope it continues throughout 2025. Happy New Year y’all!

January – Finish It

This month’s theme is finish it! Which is really a theme for the year, but I have a few things lingering that just need a bit more to be finished. A couple finishes from December:

  • Left – small embroidery, origin unknown
  • Right – Tiny Christmas Motifs embroidery, pattern from Little Dear

Almost finishes:

  • Top left – Elizabeth Top by Style Arc, rayon/lycra fabric {needs resizing}
  • Bottom left – pile of things that need hems & other finishes done
  • Top & bottom right – Nash Flared Leggings by Seamwork, double brushed knit fabric {needs resizing – them flares y’all!}

I also finished several little crochet projects which I shared on my Vlogmas videos and 2 scarves from my Mystery CAL. I also completed two hanging baskets which I mention in the video. On to the monthly projects!

  • Bottom right – Seminole Sampler from Morning Glory Designs, circa 2016 {January is done!}

Goals are to finish up the quilt top on the wall and finish a block per month for the others. I’ll finish up the Aurifil DOM blocks first, then start on the Milky Way Sampler blocks.

  • Bottom middle – Butterick B5826, recycled viscose fabric

My goals are to at least get the Devon dress, pj bottoms, and Ryker sweatshirt finished and get the rest cut and started.

  • Top left – pillow covers, need quilting and backs
  • Top right – Angry snowman from Anne Wood Handmade, Holiday Baking from Quilt Doodle Designs, and yeti from Little Dear
  • Bottom – basket of random quilt blocks and little basket of mini quilt projects

My goals are to finish the little makes and a mini quilt project each month. I don’t have a mini assigned for January.

My goals are to complete a tiny embroidery set and Joyful World each month, puzzle temperature for the whole year, and the shoes are a continuous project.
