Coffee, coffee, coffee!
Even though I drink coffee year round, when fall weather hits it’s time for a new coffee cup & special coffee drinks! Here are my top picks for a new cup:
- Farmhouse Yellow Mug • Crate & Barrel • $6.95 ~ Mustard yellow is one of my favorite fall colors!
Home Essentials & Beyond Embossed Owl Gold Coffee Mug • $5.99 ~ It’s an owl & it’s gold – what’s not to love? - Indigo Organic Reactive Glaze Mugs, Set of 2 • World Market • $8.38 ~ This reminds me of one of my favorite coffee mugs which now has a broken handle. I still have it & use it for storage!
- Project 62 Solene Stoneware Mug 10.9oz White • $3.99 ~ Stoneware mugs are nice & sturdy! I really like the bit of silver at the top.
- Coffee Talk Mug • Pier 1 Imports • $8.95 ~ This is me every morning!
- Designs Direct “Staying in is the New Going Out” 11 oz. Coffee Mug in Grey • $12.99 ~ Yes! I’m a big homebody y’all!
- Threshold Coffee Mug 12oz Stainless Steel Red • Threshold • $4.99 ~ The red on this mug reminds me of changing leaves. It would also be great for camping!
- TABLETOPS UNLIMITED Tabletops Unlimited Polka Dot 5-pc. Coffee Mug • Tabletops Unlimited • $42 ~ I had to include this for my polka dot loving friend! ; )

Drinks for Your Mug
What good is a mug without something delicious to drink in it? I love trying new hot drink recipes for my mug when the weather cools. Here are some on my list to try:
- Maple Chai Latte from Through Her Looking Glass ~ Chai lattes are full of warm spices & flavor. The addition of maple syrup sounds heavenly!
- Cambodian Coffee from Nellie Bellie ~ Super simple & it looks super tasty too!
- French Hot Chocolate from Well Plated ~ Few things can bump a coffee related drink out of my cup – chocolate would be one of them! This looks so decadent & it does have a little espresso powder for extra flavor. ; )
Check out my Pinterest boards “Coffee” & “Recipes ~ Drinks” for more inspiration! I may be separating the drink board into hot & cold drinks eventually. There are mostly cold drinks at the top right now, since summer
Fashion
If you were to look up “fall fashion” on Google, you’re going to find a million pictures of outfits with boots, scarves, & wraps over leggings. This look is great for fall because it’s cozy & comfortable, but I like to mix things up sometimes! Here are few options for different fall looks that I’m digging right now ~>
- Merona Women’s Dorothy Driving Moccasin Loafers • Merona • $24.99 ~ These loafers look like they are one step from being slippers, which means my feet will be warm & comfortable
- A New Day Women’s Cozy Knit Long Sleeve Top • $19.99 ~ A light weight knit is great for layers. The sleeves push up easily for days when it’s cool in the morning & hot in the afternoon.
- JOSEPH A Hooded Maxi Big Plaid Cardigan • Joseph A • $29.97 ~ I’m a little obsessed with this buffalo plaid cardigan! It’s got a hood & pockets y’all!
- Sole Society Mason Weekend Bag – Brown • Sole Society • $79.95 ~ This is a nice big tote perfect for an impromptu getaway or toting crafts in-progress. ; )
Even though I like to mix things up, I still love a good boot & scarf/wrap combo! Cents of Style has the perfect deal going on this weekend to get your fall wardrobe going. They are celebrating Fashion Friday’s 5th birthday with a boot & scarf combo for $29.95 OR boot & kimono combo for $34.95. As always shipping is FREE! Just use the code FIVEYEAR at checkout. Some of the kimonos have pockets y’all! Perfect for holding snacks or keeping your hands warm. ; ) The boots are low cut which works great for me & my big calves!
Sewing Patterns
Since I sew, I had to include a few items on my “to make” list. Hopefully I’ll get one done before the weather cools!
- Jasper Sweater Dress from Paprika Patterns ~ I would make this into just a hoodie instead of a dress.
- Biker Jacket {plus size} from Burda Style ~ I like that this pattern is made with a different material than what’s normally seen for a biker jacket.
- Fumeterre Skirt from Deer & Doe ~ This skirt is fabulous!
Home
During the fall months it’s time to start warming up the home with some fun accents. Most of these I would like year round!
- Large Wire Storage Basket • $14.99 ~ This basket would be great to hold extra blankets for chilly nights.
- Faux Marbled Leather Sand Pillow • Pier 1 Imports • $23.96 ~ Leather just makes things feel more cozy!
- Suite One Studio Mimira Small Platter • $24 ~ This platter would be great for a center piece on the dining room table.
- Threshold Decorative Horn Bowl • Threshold • $14.99 ~ Great place to put some fall items on the coffee table!
- Buffalo Plaid Throw • Lulu & Georgia • $36 ~ Although I do love the throw that this link is for, I’m in love with this whole look!

- Whitaker Reversible Throw • Pottery Barn • $39 ~ Cozy throws are a must for fall!
- Threshold Wood Rectangular Milk Crate • Threshold • $34.99 ~ Another great option for storing throws & quilts!
- Threshold Velvet Throw Pillow Cover (18″x18″) • Threshold • $9.99

Make some fall decor for your home with these easy crafts ~>
