October Favorites ~ Sweaters, Rain, & Netflix

It’s Friday y’all & it’s time for my October favorites post! These posts are just about the things I’m loving right now & things that make my day a little better. It’s always good to look around for the positives in life, so we don’t get caught up in the negatives. This month it was especially important to look for the good things for me, personally.

Sweater Weather

Y’all, it’s finally feeling like fall here in South Georgia! It just suddenly cooled off & almost felt like our winter for a couple of days. I even had a little frost on my window one morning!

Now, we rarely have weather that calls for bulky sweaters, but nice light weight ones are perfect for layering. The weather changed so suddenly, I hadn’t even pulled out my sweaters yet! They are out now & I’m really looking forward to wearing them. Wrapping up in a cuddly sweater or cardigan just makes me feel nice & cozy. : )

I’m really looking forward to wearing some of the items I’ve been crocheting. It’s also nicer to crochet when the weather is cooler. That’s my mostly finished Crocodile Stitch Triangle Poncho above. Find out more in my podcast tomorrow! : D

Rainy Days

It’s been raining off & on yesterday & today. Just a lighter, steady kind of rain. This kind of rain makes me want to cozy up in my thinking chair with a cup of coffee & some crochet. It’s the perfect kind of day to me!

It’s also nice to here the sound, which makes it perfect napping weather. Of course, I’m not a big napper, too many things I want to do to take naps. You can probably equate that to a two year old fighting a nap because they are afraid they’ll miss something – haha! : D

Netflix & YouTube

This may be a weird thing to be grateful for, but I am! After being without it for 8 days, I really appreciate having access to these things. As a creator, YouTube is a way for me to share my creations & connect with others that create. I really missed that when the power was out!

Netflix is a great way for me to catch up on series or watch a movie while I crochet. Sometimes I catch up on YouTube podcasts too. It’s my favorite thing to do on a Friday night! This mug says it all ~>

Now that’s my kind of party! : D

This one is a little short, but I really need to get busy. I’ve got about 20 +/- bags to sew this weekend, so I can open my Etsy shop. Keep an eye on Instagram & Facebook for a link when it opens! Also, be sure to check out my latest podcast Saturday. Have a great weekend y’all!
